How to Change the World is an online course offered by Wesleyan University in the United States. The class consists of seven week-long units: What are Social Goods? From the Commons to Moral Revolutions, Poverty and Development, Climate Change and Sustainability, Disease and Global Health Care, Women Rights, Education and Social Change.

Climate Change Mitigation in Developing Countries is an online course offered by the Energy Research Centre at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Disaster Preparedness

This class , which addresses the general public, seeks to educate people on how to best prepare their homes and their families for all types of disasters. Over the course of the class, students work to create their own disaster preparedness plans that can be implemented during a time of crisis.

In total, Disaster Preparedness requires 10 to 15 hours of study time to complete. The class is designed to be completed over a 7-week period. Students are offered one to seven videos to watch on a weekly basis and one to five readings to read in order to supplement the material covered in the videos. Other units require students to complete short writing assignments or submit a portion of their personal disaster preparedness plans for review.
